Oxford College Athletics continues to be grateful to Louise Fowler, benefactress and friend. Tennis in Newton County has grown in popularity beyond Miss Fowler’s dream, and thanks to her, it continues.
Oxford College, Covington, and Newton County, Georgia take pride in claiming Louise Fowler as a native daughter. Louise, with equal pride, on every occasion, enthusiastically affirmed that she was from Covington, Georgia. But the impact that each had on the other will be of lasting value only as it is reflected in the lives of those she taught, and therein is her legacy.
