Over the weekend, the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Bobcat Invitational in Milledgeville, Georgia. The women performed well as they competed in the 6k, which is slightly longer than their normal 5k race. The women's team placed 9th overall out of 19 NCAA Division I and II four-year institutions. There were 151 female competitors in total.
On the men's side, the Eagles had had five season best finishes with three of the athletes qualifying for the national championships, bringing the total to four men qualifiers currently. The men's team placed 8th overall out of 13 Division I and II four-year institutions. There were 117 male competitors in total.
The next stop for the cross country program is at the Berry Invitational next weekend. Go Eagles!
