Oxford College of Emory University Women’s Cross Country Earns NJCAA Academic Team of the Year Honors

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) released the Academic Team of the Year awards and the women's cross country won the award for that sport. This award is given to the college with the highest cumulative team grade point average in that sport. Oxford College women's cross country posted a 3.63 team grade point average.

There were 5 members of the team that earned an Academic Student Athlete Award. There was one that earned a 1st Team Academic Student Athlete Award for having a 4.0 GPA. There were two that earned 2nd Team Academic Student Athlete Award for having a 3.8-3.99 GPA and two 3rd team Academic Student Athlete Award winners who had a 3.6-3.79 GPA.

"We are proud of this great accomplishment as we had a great group of young ladies that worked just as hard in the class room as they did on the field of competition" commented head coach Ella O'Kelley.
