Aaron Gerber CHL Student Athlete of The Month for December 2019

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized Aaron Gerber of the men’s basketball team as the December Student Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the motto of the CHL: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Gerber is from Foothill Ranch, CA and is currently pursuing a major in Business Administration. He is a two-year member of the men’s basketball team and was named team captain this year. He helped the team last year achieve a 20-8 record during the regular season and looks to lead the Eagles to another successful year. Academically, Gerber is a Merit List Recipient. 

Outside of basketball, Gerber is the PR Chair of the Jewish Student Union and is one of the first members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board. He also works in as a Recreation Facilities Assistant where he helps out at sporting events, facilities maintenance, and other various duties. 

This past summer, Gerber participated in a one-week intensive course at the Sports Business Classroom / NBA Las Vegas Summer League where he took classes about the “NBA Bargaining Agreement” and “Scouting, Video, Analytics.” He also worked as a marketing intern for the Functional Sports Performance where he helped create social media content, build community partnerships, and performed daily gym maintenance.
