Isabela Schmalz CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2021

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized Isabela Schmalz of the women's soccer team as the September Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Schmalz is from Billerica, MA and is currently on the Pre-Nursing track and pursuing a minor in Spanish. She is a two-year member of the women's soccer team and was named team captain for this year. She is currently leading the Eagles this year in goals scored (4).

Outside of soccer and the classroom, Schmalz is quite involved in the Oxford Community. She is the Student-Athlete Advisory Board president, which promotes a positive student-athlete experience and creates an outlet for student-athletes to express their concerns and issues with the coaches and administrators. She is also a part of the Oxford Medical Relief, Outdoor Oxford and Oxford Organization de Latinx Americanos.
