Yolanda Yang named CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for March 2024

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized sophomore Yolanda Yang of the women’s tennis team as the March Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Yang, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a two-year member of the tennis team, including being a member of the national championship team last year. A captain of the women’s team, she will be an asset to the team as they look to win their eighth straight championship in May. Yang is currently undecided on her major.

Outside of tennis, Yang is a chemistry lab teaching assistant and Duolingo English test student advisor. She was also an orientation leader at Oxford. Back at home in the summer, Yang volunteers to teach tennis to children ages 10-13.
