Zach Ravel CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for March 2023

The Center for Healthful Living (C.H.L.) has recognized sophomore Zach Ravel of the men's tennis team as the March Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the C.H.L.'s motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Ravel is a native of San Francisco, California and is in his second year as a member of the Oxford men’s tennis team. He was a contributing member of the Eagles’ National Championship-winning team as a freshman in Spring 2022. Ravel was voted an All-American and an Academic All-American in 2022.

Zach Ravel plans to major in Business Administration, and is as good in the classroom as he is on the tennis court.

In addition to his academic and athletic endeavors, Ravel is heavily involved in the Oxford community. He serves as a supplemental instructor in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, and is a member of the Business, Financial Investment, and Chess Clubs on campus. Ravel is also a member of the Sports Analytics Club and has independently generated innovative new ways to track and compare NBA statistics.

Back at home in California, he provides tennis, pickleball, mathematics, and chess lessons to the local community. Ravel has shown himself to be a leader in every capacity and is an asset to Oxford College.
