Eagles Celebrate Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month with Alumni Tournament
Oxford, GA - To honor Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and Tennis Head Coach Pernilla Hardin, the Emory Oxford Tennis Teams hosted the first annual Alumni Tournament. The tournament was a doubles-only format with eight men's teams and four women's teams competing alongside the current players.
The morning started with a round-robin as the alumni competed against other alumni and also current players. After a break for lunch, the afternoon held the single-elimination tournament for the alumni.
In the women's division, Cody Lu and Ally Render faced Sally Kim and Allison Park in the championship game. Lu and Render ended up with the victory. Tate Coston and Andrew Sun defeated Peter Higgins and Adib Zaidi in the finals of the men's division.
The Emory Oxford athletic department and Coach Hardin would like to thank all of the alumni who participated and supported Ovarian Cancer Awareness. They would also like to thank all of those who supported their cause with their donations. All of the proceeds will go to Ovarian Cancer research.
