Justin Almand named assistant director of operations and facilities

Dr. Amanda Yu-Nugyen, director of the Center for Healthful Living, has announced that Justin Almand will be the next assistant director of operations and facilities at Oxford. 

Almand has worked at Oxford since January 2024 as a facilities assistant and more recently as a facilities lead for athletic events and operations.

During his time at Oxford, Almand has been the person ensuring that fields are lined and ready, that student workers are coordinated and supported, and that every event runs smoothly and safely.

He brings a deep foundation of leadership from his service in the United States Marine Corps, where he trained and developed hundreds of personnel, managed complex operational budgets, and coordinated multi-agency training operations at the highest levels. His nearly 10 years in the military took him all over the country and across the globe.

"The CHL is so glad to see Justin in this role, and equally glad that it is someone our community already knows and trusts," Yu-Nugyen said.
