Men's Basketball Faces Tough Loss on the Road
The Oxford College of Emory University men's basketball team traveled to South Carolina on Saturday afternoon to face the Rams of Columbia International University JV. The Eagles lost 81-71 and now fall to 3-2 for the season.
Oxford had four players, all sophomores, in doubles figures, with Isaac Snyder leading the way. He had 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Sean Osei scored 13 points, dished out five assists and recorded four steals. KJ Walker contributed 12 points and had a team-high six assists. To round things out, Justin Whitening scored 10 points with four assists.
Game Facts:
- The Eagles found themselves down by as large as 34 points in the opening half but battled back, winning the second half 46-26.
- The Rams capitalized on the Eagle's turnovers scoring 23 points off them.
- The Eagles won the battle inside, outscoring CIU 30-16 in points in the paint.
Oxford now faces a four-game home stretch starting on Tuesday, November 15th. They play LaGrange College Reserve Squad at 7:00 pm in Williams Gym.
