Hardin & Walker Leads Men's Basketball to Victory
Sophomores Nick Hardin and KJ Walker combined for 50 points to lead the Oxford College of Emory University men's basketball team to a 105-94 victory over Southern Basketball Academy. The Eagles improved to 14-11 for the season.
Hardin recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Walker recorded 24 points, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. Classmate Sean Osei also had a double-double with 16 points and ten assists. Sophomore Isaac Snyder and freshman Ryan Kim each had 11, while sophomore Justin Whitening scored 10.
Key Notes:
- This was the Eagles first time surpassing the 100-point mark in the season.
- Oxford shot 48.6% from the field, including 41.9% from three.
- The Eagles made 13 three-pointers, which was their most made this year.
Oxford will be back in action on Saturday, February 18th, against Central Carolina Community College. This will be the Eagles' sophomore day, as they will be honoring their nine sophomores at halftime. The game is set to tip off at 1:00 pm.
