Men's basketball dominates Action Sports Academy 92-51
Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team easily defeated visiting Action Sports Academy 92-51.
The Eagles dominated right from the beginning and led the entire game. Midway through the first half, the team led 33-8. Towards the end of the game, Emory Oxford led by 45 points.
Free throws and three-pointers helped the Eagles be successful in the game. The team missed only four free throws total. They also made 11 threes in the game, with four each coming from sophomore Leo Etah and first-year Nick Kipers.
Etah (17 points) and Kipers (14) led Emory Oxford in scoring. Sophomore Ved Desai scored 10 points and had 11 rebounds. Sophomore Nicholas Yatros was also in the double digits for the Eagles with 11 points.
Other leaders for Oxford included sophomore Jason Kim with seven assists. First-year Alex Straser had six rebounds.
The Eagles are now 4-3. Next up for Oxford is Action Sports Academy at home. Game time is 7 p.m.
