Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team defeated Emmanuel University 86-75 for the team's third straight win.
While the game was close during the first half, with the Eagles leading by four at the half, the team was able to pull away in the second.
Part of Oxford's success was having four players scoring in double digits. Sophomore Leo Etah led the Eagles with 21 points and eight rebounds. He also shot a perfect 5-for-5 from the line.
Sophomore Ved Desai scored 14 points and had five rebounds, while classmate Adeniyi Ogunlana had 13 points, eight rebounds, six steals and a perfect 6-for-6 from the line. Sophomore Jason Kim scored 10 points. In addition, first-years Alex Straser and Nick Kipers had nine points for Oxford.
The Eagles are now 5-3 this season. Oxford faces Action Sports Academy again in its next game on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
