Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team won over visiting New Rock Prep 74-53 in the last game of the fall semester.
The Eagles played well for the entire game, leading for most of it after being down by only two very early in the first. New Rock Prep attempted to make a comeback midway though the first, but Oxford was never down by more than five points.
After leading by eight at halftime, the Eagles took a 10 point lead and continued to build on it until the end.
Sophomore Ved Desai led both teams in scoring with 25 points. He also had seven rebounds. Sophomore Leo Etah had 18 points and seven rebounds. Also in double digits was sophomore Adeniyi Ogunlana with 10 points. Sophomore Jason Kim had eight assists.
Oxford is now 7-5 this season.
The Eagles will next travel to Virginia to face Virginia Peninsula Community College on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
