Etah scores 1,000th point as Oxford defeats Patrick & Henry 82-70
Martinsville, Va. - Sophomore Leo Etah became the third Emory Oxford player to score 1,000 career points as the Eagles defeated Patrick and Henry Community College on the road 82-70.
The Eagles found themselves down early, but were able to come back midway through the first on two three-pointers from sophomore Ved Desai.
After tying at the half, Oxford was able to take the lead early in the second and held on until the end of the game.
Desai and sophomore Jason Kim led the Eagles with 23 points. Desai also had eight rebounds. In addition, Kim had six rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Adeniyi Ogunlana had 13 points and seven rebounds, while Etah finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Eagles are now 14-8 overall and 4-3 in the conference.
Oxford will next play against Sandhills Community College on the road on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m.
