Men's golf competes at GCAA Championship
Warner Robbins, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's golf team competed at the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Men's Championship, held at Southern Landings Golf Club.
The team finished in second overall with a two round total of 631.
Sophomore Derrick Liang was the top finisher for the Eagles and finished sixth overall. He shot 79-76 for a total of 155. First-year Tyler Huff and sophomore Nam Nam Nai finished right behind Liang. Huff shot 156 (75-81), while Nai finished with a total of 157 (75-82).
Also competing for Oxford were first-year Alex Stein (79-84 for 163) and sophomore Jackson Schlemmer (91-85 for 176).
With his total, Liang qualified for nationals in June at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, New York.
The men's team will next play on April 18-19 at the Emory Spring Invitational, held at Cherokee Run in Conyers, Georgia.
