Milledgeville, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team was shut out by Georgia Military College 5-0 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Region 17 Championship.
After a thrilling 1-0 win against Andrew College in the semifinal, the Eagles traveled to take on the reigning champion Bulldogs.
GMC scored midway through the first half and did not let up after that. The Bulldogs added another goal in the first half and three more in the second.
Sophomores Will Farthing, Eyob Gebru and Jisung Yoon and freshman Nick Merlo all had shots on goal for Emory Oxford.
Freshman goalie Chris Do had six saves for the visitors. Sophomore Bharat Kalra finished the game and had three more.
The Eagles finish their season with a 7-8-1 record.
