Fort Payne, Ala. - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team tied Northeast Alabama Community College at two at the Fort Payne Sports Complex in Alabama.
The Eagles scored first off of a goal from first-year Henry Pickard. Northeast Alabama tied the game at the end of the first half on a penalty kick. The team then took the lead at the beginning of the second half off of another penalty kick.
Sophomore Kenan Begovic scored toward the end of the game to tie it for the visitors. Brandon Zelig assisted on the goal. Emory Oxford dominated the end of the game but were unable to take home the win.
Sophomore goalie Brendan Zelikoff made seven saves.
The Eagles are now 0-1-1 on the season. Northeast Alabama is now 0-3-3.
Emory Oxford will next face Southwest Mississippi Community College at a neutral site in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m.
