Opelika, Ala. - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team was defeated by Southern Union State Community College 3-1.
The Eagles took the lead midway through the first half on an unassisted goal by sophomore Zachary Seneriz.
Southern Union scored the next three goals in the second half to take the win.
First-year Brandon Zelig led Oxford with nine shots, with eight of them on goal. Seneriz took eight shots.
First-year Vaden Tekkam made four saves in goal, while sophomore Neal Konganda made six saves.
The Eagles will face Georgia Military College next on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
