Men's and women's cross country run in first meet of the year
Mount Vernon, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country teams ran in their first meet of the season at the Brewton Parker Invite.
On the men's side, first years David Henri and James Wang finished in the top 10 for the Eagles. Henri placed sixth with a time of 29L17.3, while Wang was ninth (29:59.6). First-year Tejin Mehta (32:56.2) was the third finisher for Emory Oxford. Sophomores Derek Fusco, Sam Birkner and first-year Keith Dai also competed for the Eagles.
For the women, sophomore Christina Tsarampari finished in fourth place with a time of 26:21.3. First-year Indiana Smith-Incer and sophomore Pavani Reddy also competed for Emory Oxford.
The Eagles will race again on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Berry College 5K/8K.
