Oxford, Ga. - Sophomore Vivian Zhu scored four goals as the Emory Oxford women's soccer team dominated visiting USC Sumter 7-1.
The Eagles kept applying pressure to the USC Sumter goalie, finally breaking through about halfway through the first on Zhu's first goal that sailed over the goalie's head. Sophomore Paloma Salazar assisted on the goal. Salazar added a goal of her own about a minute later to put the Eagles up by two.
Sophomore Claudia Fodor scored for Emory Oxford right after the half started with an assist from first-year Lindy Lawley.
Zhu scored three more times in the half, scoring more goals in this game (four) than she had last season (three). Fodor also added another goal for the Eagles.
Emory Oxford is now 3-6 on the season. The team next faces Gordon State College on Wednesday, Oct. 8 on the road. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m.
