Women's tennis beats Clark Atlanta University 5-4

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford women's tennis team defeated visiting Clark Atlanta University 5-4.

The Eagles did well in the singles matches, winning four out of six. First-year Anastasiya Speyer won her match 6-3, 7-5 in first singles. First-year Zari Haque dominated her opponent in the second set and won 6-4, 6-0. Sophomore Chloe Macaluso (5-7, 6-3, 10-4) and first-year Arielle Gomberg (6-3, 6-2) won their matches as well.

In doubles, Speyer and Haque teammed up and won with a close score of 7-5.

The Eagles will next travel to face Piedmont University on Friday, Sept. 12. Match time is set for 1:30 p.m.
